The week from 22nd September to 28th September 2025 saw a diverse range of consumer consultations handled by our Service Juridique. In total, we processed sixteen consultations through various communication channels, including e-mail, video call, Mastodon, Telegram, and Reddit.
During this period, the most frequently addressed topic was right to repair, which appeared in five different consultations. Consumers were guided on their entitlements to have products repaired under EU regulations and were advised to contact sellers to assert these rights effectively. In four instances, issues related to warranty on consumer goods were discussed. Clients were informed about the specific warranty coverage periods and the procedures for filing claims when goods turned out to be defective.
Travelers’ rights related to air travel featured prominently in three cases. Travelers seeking compensation for delayed flights were advised about the procedural steps involved according to EU Regulation 261/2004. Similarly, two consultations revolved around travelers’ rights concerning package holidays. In these situations, clients were informed about their rights concerning cancellations and significant changes to itineraries under the Package Travel Directive.
Additionally, we encountered two inquiries about border controls while traveling within the Schengen area. Consumers were advised about their right to move freely across member states, except under exceptional circumstances where temporary border checks might be reintroduced.
Among the various channels, e-mail proved the most popular, handling half of the week’s total consultations. Video calls were utilized in four cases, Mastodon in three, and both Telegram and Reddit were the channels for two consultations each. It is worth mentioning that in one rare instance, the query did not fall within our scope as it related to real estate taxation outside of the EU. As such, no advice could be provided by our service on this particular matter.
