Weekly Report, 2025-10-20 to 2025-10-26

During the week from October 20 to October 26, 2025, the Service Juridique provided a total of 16 consultations to consumers seeking advice on various issues. These consultations were facilitated through several communication channels, including E-Mail, Telefon, Telegramm, Boteund Reddit.

Among the topics discussed, E-Commerce/Fernabsatz was predominant, featuring in 11 of the consultations. Consumers expressed concerns about misleading product descriptions and delivery issues. In these cases, they were advised to review the terms and conditions of the e-commerce platform and to contact the seller directly to resolve such issues.

Fragen im Zusammenhang mit unfaire allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen were raised in six instances. Consumers were counseled to scrutinize contract clauses for any elements that could potentially be deemed unfair, thereby ensuring their rights as consumers are not infringed.

Unlautere Geschäftspraktiken, a broader category, was discussed in eight consultations. These included unsolicited Kaltakquise, with four specific cases reported. In these situations, advice was given on how to effectively withdraw consent for further contact and steps to take if these practices persisted.

Transparenz der Preisgestaltung was another key area, addressed in five consultations. Consumers were provided with guidelines on how to request a breakdown of costs and clarity on any hidden fees associated with purchases.

Es fanden zwei Konsultationen statt zu inadmissible health claims in relation to food. Consumers inquired about the legitimacy of certain advertised health benefits. They were advised to examine the claims critically and to be aware of the regulatory standards that govern such assertions.

Two cases related to Rechte der Reisenden im Zugverkehr were also handled. The consumers were advised on the procedural requirements to claim compensation for delays and the documentation needed to support their claims.

It is noteworthy that one consultation addressed a matter outside the scope of a consumer protection agency, involving real estate taxation, which falls beyond our advisory remit. In this instance, the consumer was informed that this issue does not pertain to our area of focus.

Throughout the consultations, our role was to enable consumers to independently address and resolve these concerns by providing clear and actionable advice. The Service Juridique remains committed to safeguarding consumer rights through accurate and responsive consultations.
